Aries Insight has appointed Gareth Stears as Pensions Technical Consultant. Gareth will join the existing Aries team with an initial focus on transfers, the Pension Protection Fund and Statutory Instruments. |
Ian Neale, Director at Aries, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Gareth as the latest Aries Team member: with a mass of technical knowledge and a passion for pensions, Gareth was the ideal candidate for the role. Aries Insight has a strong reputation for consistently providing accurate and up-to-date information for all our clients, and with Gareth joining the team we are strengthening our commitment to this ongoing service. At a time when legislation is increasingly complex, it is more important than ever that schemes, trustees and employers have access to reliable insight that will ensure they can provide the best possible service for members. “With the Aries Pensions Club constantly growing and expanding, it is vital that we ensure we have a strong team to provide the very best possible support and resources for all our clients. Gareth brings over a decade of experience and knowledge to the role, so he is sure to hit the ground running and prove a valuable asset to the existing team and our clients alike.” Gareth Stears added “Aries Insight is a company which has long interested me as I have always enjoyed the challenge of communicating the technical side of pensions in understandable terms. Especially as it is the technical legislation that motivates many schemes’ decisions and direction. I’ve also been volunteering as a Pensions Adviser with The Pensions Advisory Service since 2014, so I’m looking forward to joining such a strong team in a position that will genuinely allow me to help achieve good outcomes for members.”
Gareth joins Aries Insight having previously worked as Pensions Operations Analyst at Pensions Insurance Corporation and Pensions Administrator at both Barnett Waddingham, and Hewitt Associates. Gareth is also an Associate member of the PMI. His appointment to the Aries Insight team also follows Steve Rideout, Pensions Technical Consultant, being elected to the Fellowship of the PMI. |
