Investment - Articles - Standard Life Investments strengthens European equities team


 Standard Life Investments has announced two new appointments in the European Equities team, increasing the team to 12 people.

 Tom Dorner joins as an Investment Director in the European Equities team, responsible for analysing a number of sectors including insurance companies. Based in Edinburgh, Tom has 13 years of investment experience and joins the company from Citigroup, where he was director of the European Insurance sector. Prior to that he held posts at Oriel Securities, Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital.

 In addition, Jonathan Fearon has joined to manage the Standard Life Investments European Equity Growth Fund along with the European Equity component of the Global Advantage Fund, whilst analysing the European banking sector. Jonathan was previously at Ignis Asset Management where he managed two European Equity funds.

 Stan Pearson, Head of European Equities at Standard Life Investments, said:

 “These senior appointments will strengthen the European Equities team, reflecting further investment in our capabilities to help us continue to achieve strong performance and returns for our clients. Both Tom and Jonathan bring many years of investment experience on both the sell-side and buy-side. I welcome them to the team and very much look forward to working closely with them.”
