Lifestyle Article - XPS announce Paul Armitage as new Head for NPT

Paul Armitage has become the new Head of XPS’ National Pension Trust (NPT). Paul was formerly Head of Distribution at NPT and he takes over from Dave Hodges who retired earlier this year.

Paul Armitage said “Master trusts have a critical role to play in the DC landscape. It’s a really exciting time to take on this role and to build on our excellent growth story; one that we are achieving by offering market leading member engagement, an excellent investment track record and low levels of member charge. This, combined with full access to retirement freedoms within the trust allows us to take members to and through retirement, with high levels of security at the same time as delivering excellent value for money - vital as we navigate these uncertain times.”

Ben Bramhall, Co-CEO at XPS Pensions Group said: “I am delighted that Paul will lead NPT - our market leading master trust - as this is a key area for XPS and the future of the pensions industry. We believe master trusts and NPT in particular will play a vital role in the future of pension provision, offering schemes and their members the well-governed, low-cost options that so many need. I would also like to thank Dave Hodges for his enormous contribution to the business over many years and wish him the best in his retirement.”

NPT became an authorised master trust in 2019 and provides benefits for over 46,000 members with assets under management of over £750m.
