Investment - Articles - SYZ Asset Management makes strategies available on Cofunds

SYZ Asset Management, the international asset management division of the SYZ Group, has made a range of its OYSTER strategies available on Cofunds, the UK’s leading investment platform. Included in the range are the flagship OYSTER Continental European Selection and OYSTER Absolute Return GBP funds, which can now be accessed by Cofunds users.

Other key strategies in the OYSTER range also now available on the Cofunds platform are the OYSTER European Corporate Bonds, OYSTER European Opportunities, OYSTER US Selection and OYSTER Emerging Opportunities funds. All of the funds have sterling share classes and are registered for UK distribution.

The move re-affirms the business’ commitment to building its presence in the UK and offering its unique expertise to investors. In recent years, the asset manager bolstered its London-based investment teams with key hires, including Mike Clements as head of European equities, and Hartwig Kos as co-head of its multi-asset division.

Ian Penrose, head of UK distribution, SYZ Asset Management said: “This is a key milestone in our UK distribution drive and shows our deepening commitment to the market. Working with a leading platform, such as Cofunds, will enable us to reach a large and expanding audience of advisers, intermediaries and institutions.”

Cofunds is the fastest-growing investment platform in the UK, hosting GBP 77.5 bn of investments on behalf of approximately 760,000 investors.

Andy Coleman, Director of Distribution at Cofunds, said: “As the UK’s leading investment platform, we constantly strive to meet the varying needs and investment objectives of our clients by providing access to a range of investment products. SYZ Asset Management has a strong reputation and track record across a variety of asset classes, including multi-asset management and European equities so we are pleased to be in a position to offer their range of OYSTER funds. This further enhances the fund universe available to our clients.”
