General Insurance Article - ABI response to Age UK signposting research

Nick Starling, Director of General Insurance at the Association of British Insurers said:

"The insurance industry is determined to improve access to insurance products for older customers. Many ABI members do cater for older customers. But for those who do not, we worked with Government earlier this year to introduce the signposting agreement so that people are directed onto an alternative provider who can meet their needs. The industry is committed to ensuring that the signposting agreement helps older customers looking for motor or travel insurance, and we would be happy to discuss with Age UK the results of their mystery shopping to ensure that the system delivers the best possible access to motor insurance for older drivers."
