General Insurance Article - Ageas appoints new MD for RIAS and Castle Cover


Peter Corfield has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Ageas Retail's companies RIAS and Castle Cover.

 Peter has a strong track record in managing insurance businesses with a particular strength in marketing, product and brand development. Peter has management experience across the UK, Europe and the Middle East working previously for Zurich and the RBS Group including its Churchill and Direct Line brands.

 Andy Watson, Managing Director of Ageas Retail said: "We are delighted that Peter is joining us to lead RIAS and Castle Cover to the next level. His strong track record in insurance, marketing and brand development will be invaluable as we look to grow our business alongside our insurer partners. Peter is a very strong addition to the team and we are looking forward to him joining us."

 Peter Corfield said: "I'm really excited to have the opportunity to lead the RIAS and Castle Cover businesses. We have a fantastic opportunity to continue growing in the over 50s segment and I am looking forward to working with a great management team to deliver this."

 Peter will join the business on 23 January 2012.
