Investment - Articles - AXA Wealth choice as European investment centre for AXA Grp

AXA Wealth has been selected as the European multi-manager investment centre for AXA Group, bringing together its own multi-management business, Architas, with the private management businesses in France and Belgium as well as the AXA Investment Managers Multi-Manager business, which was acquired by Architas in July.

AXA Group is committed to increasing its distribution of unit linked products across Europe, and having reviewed the management of third party asset managers and the Group’s different multi-management business across Europe, has decided to bring them together into one ‘Hub’ under the management of AXA Wealth’s investment arm, Architas. In total the Hub will be directly responsible for close to €30bn of multi-managed assets, and the sourcing and management of all external fund managers used within the European unit linked propositions.

Mike Kellard, chief executive officer, AXA Wealth, said:
“Architas funds are central to our proposition here in the UK, and leveraging the Architas multi-manager platform across Europe will bring real scale to its activities whilst supporting one of the Group’s key strategic priorities.

“This move is a great endorsement for the expertise of the people in our business and presents a huge opportunity.”
The European multi-manager investment centre will be managed by Hans Georgeson as CEO of the Hub, and will include 150 staff across three main locations, London, Paris and Brussels.
