 Sanjay Gohil has joined BlackRock's UK retail sales team in the newly created role of Head of Nationals and Networks.

 In this role, Sanjay will be responsible for developing relationships with national IFA firms and networks, a role that he carried out whilst at Friends Provident for 21 years. He will report to Mark Elliott, Head of UK Retail Sales.

 Mark Elliott, Head of UK Retail Sales at BlackRock, commented: "This new role has been created as part of the strategy to increase BlackRock's activity with the IFA community and their provision of solutions on behalf of their clients. In his role, Sanjay will help to support the business in this increasingly important part of UK distribution and in preparation for the Retail Distribution Review. BlackRock's range of active and passive funds is ideally suited for advisors at this time of significant change.
