General Insurance Article - Boyle joins Aon Risk Solutions’ aviation team

David Boyle has joined Aon Risk Solutions (ARS) aviation team as head of the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Based in London, David reports directly to Simon Knechtli, global head of airlines and head of ARS’ aviation team.

Boyle joins Aon from Willis, where he was regional director for APAC. He started his career in insurance as a claims broker in 1993 at Marsh, rising to vice president of the firm in 2000, before joining Willis in 2002.

“David’s experience made him a stand out candidate to take leadership of our activities in the APAC region,” observes Knechtli. “He brings with him a great deal of enthusiasm, specialist experience and fantastic relationships in the insurance market and aviation industry across the region. He is a great fit for the leadership team and I am very much looking forward to seeing him further develop the way that we support our clients.”

Boyle is responsible for the 14 members of the APAC aviation team in London and Singapore, with focus across the airline, aerospace and general aviation sectors.
