General Insurance Article - Canopius moves for Golfplan


 Canopius Group has announced that it has acquired the business and client portfolio of Golfplan International Insurance. Golfplan is a leading provider of specialist golf insurance and an official supplier to the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA).

 Golfplan, which is based in Bristol, UK, will operate as a new division of K. Drewe Insurance Brokers with immediate effect. K. Drewe specialises in insurance for the UK leisure sector and is owned by Canopius.
 Douglas Young, head of Distribution, UK Retail, Canopius said “This acquisition increases our customer base significantly and provides us with a valuable new distribution hub for Canopius’s UK retail ambitions. We welcome Golfplan and their staff to our Group."
