Investment - Articles - InvestAcc acquires AJ Bell Platinum SIPP and SSAS business

Brings InvestAcc Group’s total Assets under Administration to £9bn, serving over 18,000 customers. Material increase in the scale of the Group: 3,400 new customers, 46 employees, new adviser relationships, and a Manchester office. No changes to clients’ pension schemes, investment holdings or fee structures. Clients and their advisers will continue working with their existing administration teams. Platinum SIPP and SSAS businesses will operate under the new InvestAcc Platinum brand. Evidence of InvestAcc Group’s “buy-and-build” M&A strategy to become the UK’s leading specialist pensions administrator.

InvestAcc Group is pleased to announce the successful completion of its acquisition of the AJ Bell Platinum SIPP and SSAS business, expanding the Group’s scale, national footprint and the integration of a talented Manchester-based team into the business.

From 3 November 2025, InvestAcc Pension Administration Limited, a multi-award-winning subsidiary of InvestAcc Group, assumes responsibility for the administration, operation, and trustee services of the Platinum SIPP and SSAS schemes.

Clients and their advisers will continue working alongside the same dedicated administration teams who previously supported them under AJ Bell, ensuring a seamless continuation in service. Comprehensive FAQs, updated contact details and the latest product literature are available to clients and their advisers via the new InvestAcc Platinum website.

Importantly, the move does not constitute a pension transfer to a different scheme or product. InvestAcc has purchased the AJ Bell Platinum Trustee companies, so all investments continue as before and remain secure, with no changes to client’s service arrangements or fee structures. Platinum SIPP clients will also benefit from a number of propositional enhancements, including:

 • Access to new commercial property and land purchases
 • Access to cash management platforms to optimise returns and enhance FSCS protection
 • A secure online portal for real-time access to SIPP information (expected to be rolled out soon)
 • The option to borrow from connected parties under commercial terms

Will Self, CEO of InvestAcc Group, commented: “This acquisition represents a key step forward for InvestAcc Group, reinforcing our commitment to delivering high-quality pension services while expanding our reach and capabilities as we strive to become the UK’s leading specialist pension administrator. We’re thrilled to welcome our new colleagues and customers to the InvestAcc Group.”
