Lifestyle Article - JLT bolster Investment team with two new appointments


JLT Employee Benefits is strengthening its investment consulting and fiduciary management offering with two new appointments. Ian Burns will step into the newly created position of Director and Head of Defined Benefit Investment Solutions. In addition, James Leeming has been appointed Director within the Investment Solutions team.

 Ian is a qualified actuary with 22 years’ experience in pensions and investments. He has been a Director at JLT since 2014, leading an expert team specialising in bespoke investment solutions for pension schemes. Prior to this, Ian spent seven years working for the big four accounting firms. In his new role, Ian will be responsible for the strategic direction and growth of JLT’s DB investment business across the UK. Ian will be accountable for the DB services provided to JLT clients within investment consulting, fiduciary management, local authority and buy-in / buy-out. 

 James Leeming joins from Mercer in Manchester where he was Head of Investment Consulting. Stepping into the role of Director, James will be responsible for the delivery of JLT’s Investment Consulting services across a range of clients. His appointment will further enhance JLT’s Investment Solutions team.
