Pensions - Articles - LCP launch interactive DC modeller to support Auto-Enrolment

LCP has launched an interactive defined contribution modeller to help employers negotiate the complexities of the new auto-enrolment requirements.

The modeller, developed by LCP's auto-enrolment and DC teams, enables employers to review the various pension scheme design options available to them in meeting the new obligations. It uses individual scheme and employee data to provide employers with information relevant to their individual circumstances.

As well as providing real-time information on employer contribution costs, the modeller can also analyse requirements for specific segments of the employer's workforce. It can provide insight into the issues facing employers on staging dates, employee turnover and DC scheme design for trust or contract-based arrangements.

Robin Smith, partner at LCP said, "Many employers are considering the increased costs and compliance burden that the requirements will bring. Many pension scheme sponsors and trustees will have a nasty surprise in store when they look at the requirements in detail. LCP's auto-enrolment modeller allows employers to focus on the issues that are relevant to their situation and quickly narrow down their options."?
