The LifeSight Trustees are delighted to announce the appointment of Jane Platt CBE as their new Chair. Ms Platt is replacing Donald Brydon CBE as he steps down after three years in the post. |
Ms Platt is a non-executive director of the FCA and was Chief Executive of National Savings and Investments for ten years until September 2016. She has significant experience in the financial services sector, having trained as an investment manager with Mercury Asset Management and holding senior executive positions at BZW Asset Management and later as Chief Executive of Barclays Stockbrokers. Jane is a distinguished figure in the banking and finance industries. She is a Chartered Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and received a lifetime achievement award from the Call Centre Association in 2016 for championing standards and improved customer outcomes. Commenting on her appointment, Jane Platt said:“I chose to join the Board because of LifeSight’s values of openness and transparency. It is that strong independent board at LifeSight which sets us apart and makes sure that we deliver the best for members, so sponsoring companies can know they have made the right decision to entrust the stewardship of their schemes to us. My background covers governance and regulation, investment management and retail financial services. I know the importance of sound and transparent decision making, attention to detail and great communication. The way that LifeSight is developing and delivering its propositions to members is really exciting.” Donald Brydon CBE, added:“It has been a privilege to serve as Chair of the LifeSight Trustees Board and I am delighted that Jane has been appointed as my successor. Her wealth of experience and knowledge will enable the LifeSight Master Trust to continue its growth trend. I am delighted to have been part of this journey and wish Jane every success in continuing the innovation, strength, quality of governance and management that LifeSight has become known for. |
