Lifestyle Article - Louise Lane joins Hymans Robertsons Risk Transfer Team

Hymans Robertson has appointed Louise Lane to join its expanding Risk Transfer team as a response to increasing client demand.

Louise joins from Willis Tower Watson’s (WTW) Risk Transfer team, where she focused on assisting clients to reduce the risk associated with DB pension schemes, primarily through the purchase of bulk annuities. Louise has worked and advised on a variety of transactions, ranging in value from £100m to almost £2bn in size.

Commenting on Louise’s appointment, James Mullins, Head of Risk Transfer, Hymans Robertson, says: “Louise will be a brilliant addition to our successful and growing team of over 25 experts, with her experience across many areas of risk transfer. Our need to expand the team follows a very successful 2022, where we won appointments with 14 new risk transfer clients, including four with FTSE100 sponsoring employers. We expect the next 12 months to be an interesting and busy period across the buy-in, buy-out and longevity swap markets and look forward to announcing some more experienced joiners to the team over the next few months.”

Commenting on her new role, Louise says: “I am thrilled to join Hymans Robertson at the start of an exciting year for the Risk Transfer market. I look forward to the working with the team during what looks set to be a busy and successful time for buy-ins, buy-outs and non-traditional risk transfer options.”
