The Symptom Checker feature has been developed to provide members with instant access to helpful information and demonstrates Allianz Worldwide Care’s commitment to its ‘Digital by Default’ strategy. Allianz Worldwide Care has seen an increasing demand for digitalisation, with more than half of claimants now using the MyHealth app to submit medical claims. Downloads of the app have hit 228,000; while the number of claims submitted using this technology has soared to 750,000. In fact, claim submissions via the app far exceed those of traditional methods such as post and email. The app itself supports 5 different languages: English, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
Allianz Worldwide Care has continually proven to be a leader in technological innovation across the field of international health insurance. Alexis Obligi, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer at Allianz Worldwide Care, commented on the introduction of Symptom Checker: “We have always pushed ourselves to be leaders when it comes to technology in this area. Our members expect continuous innovation, and we are seeing a strong trend towards digital usage and uptake in paperless claims submissions. Developed in conjunction with medical professionals, the Symptom Checker is by no means a replacement for the real thing. It is, however, a valuable tool to be used to secure an initial assessment for our members and we’ve had an incredibly positive response so far.”
The Allianz MyHealth app is available to download for free from iTunes and Play Store.
