Lifestyle Article - Aon appoint Matthew Pinkney to lead Pensions Data Solutions


Aon has appointed Matthew Pinkney to lead its UK Pensions Data Solutions Team. Matthew is an associate partner in Aon’s UK Retirement team, with 18 years’ experience at the company as a client lead and scheme actuary.

 In his new role, Matthew leads a 70-strong UK-wide team focused on helping pension schemes carry out data cleaning and benefit calculation change projects.

 The Data Solutions Team is a new team responsible for the implementation of complex data-driven calculation projects such as GMP rectification, the administration implementation of GMP equalisation projects, and data work required to support insurance settlement and Pension Dashboards.

 Matthew Pinkney, said: “UK pension schemes are having to deal with a series of challenging data-heavy projects and a clear strategy has become essential as they plot a course through them. We have developed a new team to meet this need, bringing together expertise from across Aon and investing to enhance our already strong capabilities.

 “We are already seeing strong demand for these services as resource-constrained schemes aim to get on top of these important projects.”
