This month has seen the closing of an always entertaining Olympic Games in Paris, closing with Tom Cruise stunt to usher in the next games in Los Angeles in 2028. We have also had a new candidate in Kamala Harris accepting the Democratic nomination for the US President. Our cover story this month is from Chris Halliday from WTW and James Clark from DLA Piper examining AI regulation and its impact on the future of the insurance industry.

Kris Weber from Arc pensions Law asks with members interests clarified what about those of the actuary. Matt Richards from PIC examines potentially another record-breaking year for the Bulk Annuity market. We also have Vaibhav Agarwal from Grant Thornton looking at the benefits of implementing R for Reserving.

Our regular authors are in attendance with their own outlook on the month’s activities including Dale Critchley expecting workplace pensions to set the Gold standard and Alex White’s article the Literal Wind of Change looks at climate change from an investment point of view.
