Pensions - Articles - Barnett Waddingham’s Sara Cook is reappointed to PASA

Barnett Waddingham consultant Sara Cook has been reappointed as a director of the Pension Administration Standards Association (PASA) for a new three year term.

PASA was created by the pensions industry in 2011 to define and drive forward standards of pension administration in order to improve member outcomes. In her role as director, Sara has participated in the development of the organisation’s administration standards and guidance for the industry since PASA’s inception in 2011.

Sara Cook, Barnett Waddingham, said: “A great deal has been achieved in the two years since PASA was launched and the positive response we have received from the industry towards improving standards in pension administration is highly encouraging.

“As part of a continuing drive to raise standards PASA will shortly formally launch an accreditation scheme to the industry. Organisations that achieve PASA accreditation will be formally recognised as operating administration practices that meet PASA standards. Barnett Waddingham is keen to commit the time and energy towards ensuring good practice throughout the industry and I will look forward to continuing this work as PASA refines its accreditation process.”
