Lifestyle Article - CMS announce three new appointments

CMS is delighted to announce the appointment of Tristan Hall as a Partner in the firm’s Insurance and Reinsurance team in London. He joins the firm from Sedgwick and brings with him associates Andrew Milne and Luke Gething.

Tristan specialises in advising insurers and their insureds on the management and resolution of complex claims, with a particular emphasis on financial and professional risks. In addition to his contentious practice, Tristan has significant experience assisting insurers and intermediaries with bespoke insurance product development and wording reviews.

Andrew focuses his practice on insurance coverage, in particular Directors & Officers’ liability and claims involving financial institutions. Luke has broad professional liability experience, advising on claims against a variety of professionals including insolvency practitioners and IFAs.

Ed Foss Partner and Head of Insurance and Reinsurance at CMS comments: “We are excited that Tristan is joining us. His financial institutions experience dovetails with our well established financial institutions offering led by Simon Garrett. Tristan is a highly regarded and talented lawyer and client reaction to his arrival has been extremely positive. We are delighted that he will be joined by Andrew and Luke who will also add significant weight to the practice.”

Commenting on his appointment, Tristan said: “I am looking forward to joining the team at CMS alongside Andrew and Luke. The CMS team is highly respected in the market and I hope to use the experience that I’ve gained to further build out the practice.”
