Dr. Michael Renz elected as AAE chairperson

 The Actuarial Association of Europe (AAE) has announced that Michael Renz has been elected as the new chairperson for the year to September 2015.

 Dr. Michael Renz is a German national and was Chairman of the German Actuarial Association (“Deutsche Aktuarvereinigung DAV”) from 2009 to 2011. Ad Kok, Chief Executive of the AAE said: “I am delighted that Michael has been selected for this role by the General Assembly, and I look forward to continuing to build a strong and effective partnership between the executive and Michael that draws on his experience to help deliver our strategy."

 Michael Renz said: "I feel honoured to be given this opportunity by the General Assembly. I look forward to working with our Member Associations across Europe to ensure that we continue to meet their professional needs, and maintain our reputation as a high quality professional body.”

 Malcolm Campbell, the Immediate Past Chairperson, said: “I am delighted that Michael has been elected to follow me as Chairperson of the AAE. I have known Michael for a long time and really look forward to working with him over the next year.”

 During last week’s General Assembly Philip Shier (Ireland) was elected as Vice-Chairperson for the coming year , Christoph Krischanitz (Austria) was re-elected as Chairperson of the Investment & Financial Risk Committee, for three years, and Falco Valkenburg (the Netherlands) was re-elected as Chairperson for the Pensions Committee, for three years.
