Articles - FSA’s Wendy Hawes joins actuaries LCP

Senior FSA general insurance actuary Wendy Hawes has joined LCP as a Principal in its Insurance Consulting practice.

During Wendy's 11 years at the regulator, she was part of the team responsible for the implementation of both the ICAS regime and the Solvency II internal model approval process. Prior to the FSA, Wendy's experience included roles at the Government Actuary's Department and in academia.

Commenting on her new role, Wendy said: "Having dealt with a variety of consulting actuaries, I was attracted to LCP's personal approach to working with their clients. One area where I aim to help is in showing board members how they can meet the evolving regulatory demands in a way that also adds value to the running of their businesses."

LCP partner Charl Cronje added: "Wendy's exceptionally deep knowledge of the regulatory landscape is matched by a refreshing enthusiasm for helping insurers to do things better. Wendy's experience gives her a unique perspective that will benefit our clients greatly."
