Pensions - Articles - Greenery UK hire Capita for pension actuarial services

Capita Employee Benefits has announced a three-year contract with Greenery UK to provide actuarial and administration services for its defined benefit pension scheme.

Greenery UK’s defined benefit pension scheme will be administered from Capita Employee Benefits’ office in Edinburgh.

John Priest, trustee for Greenery UK’s scheme, said: “We chose Capita to provide our actuarial and administration services as it currently handles over 4 million employees’ pension arrangements. As such, we saw them as a trusted partner and could feel confident they would ensure that the scheme both complied with the requirements and guidance set down by The Pensions Regulator and met members’ needs for timely and effective communication.”

Actuarial and administration services went live on 1 October 2013 and the first trustee meeting was held on 5 November 2013.

Nick Burns, chief executive of Capita Employee Benefits, commented: “Trustees have recorded their appreciation and thanks to Capita for the very professional way we handled the transition from the previous service provider. We look forward to continuing working with Greenery UK, alleviating the burden of its pensions administration and providing insightful actuarial advice.”
