Pensions - Articles - Hymans Robertson appointed to National LGPS Framework

Hymans Robertson has been appointed to every available ‘lot’ of the new National LGPS Framework for Actuarial, Benefits and Governance Consultancy Services. The Framework allows LGPS funds, employers and pools, and other public sector bodies, to procure access to a wide range of pension services. It was launched on 1 July 2021.

Commenting on the appointments, Richard Warden, Partner and LGPS Actuary, said: “As we reach the milestone of our centenary year, it is apt that we continue to grow our work serving the local authority pensions market as we have done throughout the last 100 years. The LGPS is a key focus for Hymans Robertson, and the framework appointment outlines our commitment to this area.

“The past year has brought unprecedented change to the LGPS with the impact of the pandemic still being felt by many, but the numerous legislative challenges from McCloud to Exit Payments have been challenging to all. As we reach the summer months, we look forward to the second half of the year and the impact the much anticipate MHCLG regulations, and guidance arising from the Good Governance project, will bring.”
