Pensions - Articles - Hymans Robertson appointed to NESTs panel of advisers

Hymans Robertson, the UK’s leading, independent pension consultancy has been appointed to NEST’s panel of investment advisers.

The framework, established by NEST, consists of a closed pool of investment advisers who are able to tender to advise NEST and work together to improve the retirement arrangements of its over two million savers.

Hymans Robertson was accepted on to the NEST framework on completion of a thorough procurement exercise assessing the quality of its advice and people, as well as cost.

Mark Jaffray, Head of DC Investment Consultancy at Hymans Robertson commented on the appointment: “Being appointed to this select panel of advisers means that we will be able to help NEST as it fulfils a crucial role in ensuring millions of savers are now able to look towards a more secure retirement. This is not only central to Hymans Robertson’s ethos but critical for the UK where three quarters of DC savers are not currently on track for an adequate income at retirement.”

Mark Fawcett, Chief Investment Officer at NEST commented: "NEST is pleased to confirm that Hymans Robertson has been appointed to their panel of investment advisors. Hymans Robertson is a leading independent firm of pension scheme advisors, who have shown significant innovation in recent years in the defined contribution pension scheme market. NEST looks forward to working with Hymans Robertson."
