Lifestyle Article - Mark Newman from Canopius joins LMA board


 The Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) has announced the appointment of Mark Newman, Chief Executive Officer of Canopius UK and Canopius Managing Agents, to its board.
 
 Mark joined Canopius in 2016 as the CEO for APAC & MENA region. Previously, he served as the CEO of Catlin Asia Pacific and has 24 years of experience living in Asia, both in Singapore and Japan.

 Kate Roy, Group Chief Operating Officer of Canopius, has stepped down from the LMA board.
 
 Sheila Cameron, Chief Executive Officer of the LMA, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Mark to the LMA board. His extensive Lloyd’s market and international experience will be invaluable as we continue to maintain the Lloyd’s market's leading position in global insurance.”
 
 Andrew Brooks, Chairman of the LMA, added: “I would like to thank Kate for her significant contributions during her tenure on the LMA board.”
