Marsh has announced the appointments of Bryce Check as a Business Relationship Director and Anna Whitfield as a Client Service Director in the UK Real Estate Practice. Part of Marsh JLT Specialty, the UK Real Estate Practice provides insurance and risk advisory services to real estate owners, operators, managers, and developers. Based in London, Mr. Check is expected to join the firm later this month and Ms. Whitfield joined on 7 October. |
The announcement follows the appointments in June of Tim Scoble as CEO and Mark Lumley as a Client Director of the UK Real Estate Practice. Mr. Check and Ms. Whitfield will report to Mr. Scoble when he joins the firm later this year. In his role, Mr. Check will join the UK Real Estate Practice’s sales team and be responsible for developing the global sales proposition, with a special focus on European markets. Mr. Check will join Marsh from Aon, where he was a Business Relationship Director in the Real Estate Practice for nearly 11 years. As well as being a qualified lawyer, Mr. Check is the founder of Kiwis in Property UK, an industry networking organisation for New Zealanders working in the UK commercial property sector. Ms. Whitfield joins Marsh as a Client Service Director, and will help shape the UK Real Estate Practice’s growth strategy along with Mark Lumley. Ms. Whitfield also joins Marsh from Aon, where she was a Client Director since 2016. Anna has focused on real estate insurance since 1997, in a career spanning both underwriting and broking. She chairs the Property Investors Committee of the Insurance Institute of London. Commenting on the latest appointments, Paul Moody, UK CEO, Marsh JLT Specialty, said: “The UK real estate sector is continuing to battle significant headwinds, which stem from a wide range of economic, technological and political issues. In this environment, clients need advisers that have both the technical expertise and strategic insight to help them navigate these complex issues and continue to be successful.
“With their combined industry knowledge, Bryce and Anna are important additions to our UK Real Estate Practice. Their expertise, together with that of Tim and Mark, will be vital as we continue to enhance our services and solutions for the UK real estate sector.”
