Mastek launches microsite to help product providers still unprepared for RDR

Mastek, the global provider of enterprise-level technology services and software solutions for the public sector, financial services, and the retail and telecoms industries, has today launched a microsite for the financial services industry ahead of implementation of the RDR at the end of the year.

With the 31st December 2012 deadline fast approaching, Mastek has created this microsite to act as a hub of information and advice for unprepared companies yet to ready their systems for the RDR. It offers a free systems health check for firms to check their capacity to respond to requirements arising from the RDR. Based on the results of this, Mastek will perform an initial analysis and provide a free report to the company highlighting any shortcomings its systems have.

Ralph Tucker, business development director at Mastek says:

“We hope by offering this service for free, it will encourage firms to finally take a close look at their systems pre-RDR. Time is fast running out, antiquated and inadequate IT systems will be exposed post RDR: this will lead to poor service levels and advisers voting with their feet. In the new world, advisers will not be able to justify to their clients why they are dealing with inefficient providers. Service is set to become the new commission; without capable systems, a good service is not possible.”

Further to the free healthcheck, Mastek has enlisted the support of industry heavyweights Ian McKenna and Peter Chadborn to co-present a video on the site. The discussion centres on industry challenges, the post-RDR issues and how Mastek’s ERD solution will be able to deliver a comprehensive IT solution particularly to support changes in agency agreements, development of multi-distribution channels all targeted at enabling a platform for growth.

Firms need to take note of this free resource and expert opinion which provides a very clear message as to where the battle will be won and lost for adviser’s business post-RDR.

Mastek plans to follow up the launch of the site with a free seminar later in the year to offer further advice on this subject.
