Mercer has announced that Jo Holden has been appointed as the UK Chief Investment Officer. Based in the Liverpool office, Ms Holden will be responsible for leading Mercer’s investment consulting proposition in the UK. She will join the UK Defined Benefit (DB) Leadership Team and work closely with Mercer’s Chief Actuarial Officer, Jenny Condron. |
Ms Holden joined Mercer in Liverpool in 2002 from PwC’s actuarial team. In 2010, she moved to Mercer’s Manchester office to set up a new investment team there. Ms Holden is a recognised leader in public sector consulting, and over the last few years has overseen the doubling of Mercer’s investment consulting client base in this market. “We are delighted with the appointment of Jo to this role,” said David Fogarty, Head of Mercer’s UK DB business. “Jo has extensive knowledge of the investment consulting space and great energy and enthusiasm for developing our proposition further to meet the needs of our clients.” Ms Holden said: “We have an exceptionally strong team of consultants in our investment team who are leading the field in the advice they are taking to clients. With our wider resource and skillset, we have a real opportunity to give our clients even more choice about how they manage their DB challenges.” |
