Kewill, a leading provider of innovative software for supply chain execution, today announced that Modus has chosen Kewill MessageBroker, a business integration solution, to quickly and easily exchange household policy data with broker software houses. Kewill MessageBroker, part of the Kewill MOVE® on the Cloud platform, is a secure, cloud-based service for managing the transmission of policy data to and from broker software houses. |
It also converts data from the standard electronic data interchange (EDI) formats used by the software houses to XML and vice versa. It is designed to allow Modus to focus more time and resource on core business competencies and delivering better customer service.
Launched by Simon Read, Scott Banks and Natasha Pettet early in 2015, Modus specialises in underwriting household, landlord and commercial insurance products through software houses and direct to brokers in the United Kingdom. Several Lloyd’s syndicates provide capacity for Modus which expects to grow significantly over the next few years.
“If you want to distribute products through software houses and the larger brokers, you have to implement a system that supports EDI messaging,” said Modus director, Simon Read. “Kewill MessageBroker was our first choice based on our past experience of working with Kewill. We know that partnering with the company will deliver the robust EDI system we need to support our ambitious growth plans.”
“We are thrilled to be working with Modus to help launch their new venture,” said Siân Hopwood, Senior Vice President, B2B Operations at Kewill. “Kewill MessageBroker, our state-of-the-art EDI solution, will ensure speed and accuracy in the transaction of critical policy data with their brokers. Being Modus’ first choice provider speaks volumes in further validating Kewill’s ongoing commitment to customer success by providing outstanding solutions and services.”
In addition to specialising in the collection, transformation and delivery of information among carriers, brokers and their software house partners, Kewill also invests resources to ensure it understands the challenges facing the industry by attending industry meetings and earning accreditation from industry standards bodies such as Polaris. |
