Pensions - Articles - MyCSP appoints Interface Manager

MyCSP, which provides pensions services for many of the country’s best known public sector organisations, has appointed Stephen Worthington in the position of Interface Manager at its head office in Liverpool.

Stephen joins from the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS), where he worked for 12 years and was ultimately their Data Quality Supervisor.

Stephen started his career as a pension administrator and went on to specialise in data management. Whilst at USS, Stephen successfully implemented The Pension Regulator’s guidance on recording and managing data so that it was fit for purpose.

At MyCSP, Stephen will report to Grahame Weaver, head of pensions systems, and will be responsible for managing data interfaces from employers within the Civil Service Pension Scheme. This includes monitoring monthly file updates sent by employers about their employee members’ details, such as information on new starters and leavers and changes in salary or working hours. He will also be responsible for liaising with employers to increase understanding of data quality issues and the implementation of data improvement programmes.

Joe Duddridge, MyCSP’s Chief Information Officer, explained “Data management is becoming the foundation of running schemes both efficiently and cost effectively. Stephen will play a key part in making sure that members’ records are up-to-date and accurate; something that has, historically, been a challenge to the pension industry. With 14 years specialising in this area Stephen’s expertise will be invaluable to both MyCSP and its clients.”

Stephen is an Associate member of the Pensions Management Institute.
