 Payroll World this week announced their Top 50 Payroll Professionals of 2013 after nominees were selected from a strong list of industry nominations. Graham Davey, central accounts manager at NEST, is the only professional from a pension provider to have been awarded the accolade this year.

 Commenting on his achievement, Graham said:

 ‘NEST recognises how critical the payroll industry is for the successful implementation of automatic enrolment and has made good progress in building strong working relationships with payroll software developers and service providers. We have developed a range of technical data specifications, support materials and delegated user facilities to ensure NEST can work smoothly with payroll software and services. It’s fantastic for our work to be recognised in this way.

 ‘Employers need to comply with their automatic enrolment duties every pay period, and they can’t do that without the involvement of their payroll people or service provider. Efficient payroll data and processes are key to the worker assessment calculations and other aspects required when complying with the automatic enrolment regulations. As an industry we need to be committed to understanding and working with payroll to help employers meet their duties.’
