Pensions - Articles - PPF 7800 Index Update


The PPF 7800 Index has been updated to the end of January 2016.

 Highlights include:

     
  •   The aggregate deficit of the 5,945 schemes in the PPF 7800 Index is estimated to have increased over the month to £304.9 billion at the end of January 2016, from a deficit of £222.4 billion at the end of December 2015.
  •  
  •    The funding ratio worsened from 84.9 per cent to 80.5 per cent.
  •  
  •   Total assets were £1,258.7 billion and total liabilities were £1,563.6 billion.
  •  
  •   There were 4,923 schemes in deficit and 1,022 schemes in surplus.
