General Insurance Article - PTL appoints Alison Bostock

Pitmans Trustees (PTL), a leading independent trustee and governance services provider, today announced the expansion of its presence in London with the appointment of Alison Bostock as a Client Director.

Commenting, Richard Butcher, Managing Director, said:
“Last year was a record breaking, extremely positive year for PTL in terms of new business and the awards we received. The 2014/15 financial year saw us win our largest ever DC client, our largest ever DB client and our largest ever trust-based client. We were particularly pleased that, as well as expanding our traditional DB business, we saw wins in the DC space – including seven IGCs and 12 appointments to our Governance Advisory Arrangement (GAA).

“Alison therefore joins us at a really exciting time with the challenges in the industry as great, if not greater, than they were 12 months ago. With her strong actuarial background and funding experience she’ll be a valuable addition to the team.”

Bostock commented: “PTL are a stand out firm - forward thinking and innovative. I’m very happy to be on board and look forward to using my existing industry experience to help schemes with the myriad of responsibilities they now have.”

Bostock is a graduate of Christ’s College, Cambridge and joins PTL with 25 years of actuarial, investment and DC experience. She previously worked at Punter Southall, where she was a scheme actuary, investment consultant and head of the London office. Prior to this she was a consultant and actuary at Clay & Partners.
