Life - Articles - Simplyhealth appoints new pricing and underwriting director

Simplyhealth has appointed a new Pricing and Underwriting Director. David Cobley is a qualified actuary and joins from the Lloyds Banking Group, where he was Risk Director for its International Financial Services division.

David says Simplyhealth’s focus on delivering personal customer service attracted him to the role; “I think it is very important the way that Simplyhealth puts the customer at the centre of all that it does and the way in which it lives its mutual values.  I have been impressed by the work that has been done over recent years to bring the business together, and the development of the new Simplyhealth brand.”

“My initial tasks will be to continue the work that has been started this year to bring the pricing and underwriting teams closer together, and the development of the pricing for the private medical insurance business.  The key focus will then be to drive sustainable growth for this business in the future.”

David has been living in Heidelberg in Germany for the past two years, but has moved back home to Bristol to take on his new role.
