University of Sheffield prepares for auto enrol admin with appointment of Capita Hartshead

The University of Sheffield has appointed Capita Hartshead to administer its 3,000 member pension scheme for non-academic staff. The administration will be run from Capita Hartshead’s Sheffield Headquarters.
Andrew Wood, Head of Financial Services at the University said: “We had two key criteria when choosing our new administrator. It was essential they could provide a high quality member-focused service and we also wanted a partner that would provide specialist support going forward, especially during the introduction of auto enrolment. Capita Hartshead ticked both of these boxes.”
Mike Addenbrooke, Capita Hartshead’s Managing Director added: “We are already working closely with The University of Sheffield to ensure we meet their goals, including the introduction of auto enrolment. We find that many clients value having access to a local service and this is one reason why we maintain a UK-wide network of offices.”
To help businesses get to grips with the new pensions auto enrolment requirements, which come in later this year, Capita Hartshead is running free seminars at many of its offices around the UK. More information about these auto enrolment seminars is available from www.capitahartshead.co.uk. Attendees can register by emailing Hartshead-events@capita.co.uk.
