Pensions - Articles - Capita Hartshead keeps it ‘real’ via Hartlink Online

Capita Hartshead today announced the launch of a new tool on their online facility Hartlink. The latest addition to Hartlink Online allows members to obtain ‘real-time’ annuity quotes. This is a valuable tool for any member wanting to see what pension they can purchase with their ‘pension pot’. The online application lets members generate quotations direct from the main annuity providers all within seconds. Automatic population of members’ details makes this easy to use and provides members with a wide range of annuity choices.

 Key points:

 ·      Members can choose just what type of annuity suits their circumstances and investigate a range of options including both conventional lifetime annuities and ‘smoker’ or ‘enhanced’ rates.

 ·      Requests are sent straight to the provider, cutting down the need to call or supply detailed information. The responses only take seconds and are immediately visible as well as being emailed to the member’s secure mailbox within HartLink, so they are secure and confidential.

 ·      The results are displayed simply so that they are easily understood.

 ·      The process integrates directly to the Capita Hartshead Annuity team for help desk support.

 ·      This facility also provides valuable links to other sites such as tPR and the Government’s Money Advice Service.

Jacqueline Conroy of Capita Hartshead said: “Selecting an annuity is often a difficult and complicated process for members. We have tried to make sure that they understand what options are open to them by providing a tool which allows instant access to providers and quick ‘real-time’ results. Keeping up with members’ needs is core to our strategy and the earlier they start to understand what options they have and how these will affect their retirement income, the better.”

This new functionality is the latest addition to Capita Hartshead’s unrivaled range of DC retirement income options. They already offer a drawdown facility for occupational DC schemes and a full annuity broking service.
