Articles - Hanover Search Actuarial & Risk Re-Brand

I am delighted that over the past two years we have been able to explode the growth of our Insurance business in what is considered to be one of the toughest recessions of the last century. The business has grown by 300% both in terms of revenue and headcount and has enabled us to attract some of the best and most experienced Search Specialists in the Insurance market. We are now well on our way to building a truly global presence with new offices in both the US and South Africa this year as well as a Swiss office due to open shortly. As a result of this expansion we have taken the decision to re-brand our business from Hanover Search Actuarial & Risk to Hanover Search Global Insurance Partners to more accurately reflect the greater variety of expertise within the business. We are now able to undertake search mandates across all technical and operational disciplines on behalf of our clients. These obviously include our historical core markets of Actuarial and Risk but have now added expertise in Finance, Underwriting, Internal Audit and Operations.

We have identified a significant gap in the market to support the Global Insurance Industry at the Executive level. We have over 20 Partners and support staff most of whom have many years’ knowledge and experience within the Insurance Industry. One of the consequences of the current recession has been the greater demand for lower cost recruitment solutions; this has however had a devastating effect on the quality of candidates hired primarily through internet based contingent recruitment activity. We strongly believe that as we move out of recession, quality organisations will once again look for a more comprehensive search strategy that will insure a “best of breed” approach to attracting top industry leaders.

As always we will stick rigidly to our mission statement of providing “Search Solutions supported by knowledge and expertise, delivered with efficiency and integrity”. We are looking forward to building stronger relationships with our Insurance Clients as well as continuing to provide a high quality global solution to their recruitment needs.
