Articles - Congratulations to Dawn Heasman-Riley

For winning Actuarial Post's Stars of the Future award. Dawn features on the cover of our November edition of the magazine 'Actuarial Post Stars of the Future Winners' Dawn says I'm delighted to have won the Stars of the Future Award, I really wasn’t expecting to. It is really nice to be recognized in this way and I think it is great that Actuarial Post run the awards.

I'm also really happy that my husband is in here too because even though we work for different companies, we are a team and we always help each other to do new things. I think there is fantastic scope for the skills that we have as actuaries to be applied more widely to help our clients. We have an opportunity to help a much broader variety of people and I think that we should be more heavily involved in things like government policy and with businesses outside of the (somewhat limited) scope of pensions and insurance.

The award was sponsored by Star Actuarial Futures.
