Articles - Final Day for Voting for Stars of the Future 2025

It's the your last chance to vote for our nominees in this years Stars of the Future as we close voting tonight. It’s vital to remember that we all started somewhere and becoming an actuary is no easy feat. We relish in acknowledging the emerging talent within the actuarial market and celebrate the ones to watch with our Stars of the Future Awards. Sponsored by Star Actuarial Futures. Stars of the Future highlights the rising talent in the actuarial industry. We know how hard you all work to qualify as actuaries and this is the perfect way to acknowledge your hard work.

After 13 years this award has grown in popularity and enjoyment. A wonderful opportunity to pause and recognise all the hard work and talent within the actuarial market. The winner will grace the cover of our winners magazine and two runners-up will also receive an award and all finalists are celebrated.

Who do you think has worked exceptionally hard this year or achieved something great?

Richard Foulds, Associate Director, Star Actuarial Futures: Star Actuarial is again delighted to support and champion the Stars of the Future award. A celebration of early-career actuaries who are already making a real difference through their work and their contribution to the profession. The insurance world has transformed rapidly in recent years; from the rise of AI, automation, and new data sources, to the urgent need for climate risk modelling, ESG-focused decision-making, and protection against emerging risks like cybercrime. Regulatory shifts such as IFRS 17 and Consumer Duty have added new layers of complexity, while customer expectations for digital-first, personalised, and transparent products continue to rise.

Against this backdrop, the fresh perspectives and inquisitiveness of actuaries have never been more valuable. Whatever you are challenging / building / developing – whether revolutionary or evolutionary - your input is driving the changes needed to provide products fit for our future world.Good luck to all, and I’m excited to find out who our winner will be.

Twinkle Popat, Stars Of The Future 2024 winner: I was delighted to have even been nominated in the first place, let alone be lucky enough to win the award! Moving from life insurance pricing to pensions consulting a few years ago was a big decision for me. This nomination has given me the opportunity to reflect on my own career path to date and has given me comfort that the decision has paid off in some respect. Receiving the news of the award was a bit of a ‘cherry on top’ moment for me - I got promoted, engaged and won Actuarial Star of the Future all in one week - it will be hard to top that again!
