General Insurance Article - JLT Re announce senior appointments in North America


JLT Re, the global provider of reinsurance broking and capital solutions, today announces a number of key senior appointments for its North American business:

     
  1.   George Daddario - Deputy Chief Executive Officer – North America Reinsurance.
  2.  
  3.   Tony Marangiello - North America Marketplace Leader.
  4.  
  5.   Craig Darling - President of JLT Re Ventures, a unit of JLT Re North America that is dedicated to finding start-up and similar business opportunities and working with JLT Capital Markets.
  6.  
  7.   David Johnson – appointed to the JLT Re North America Executive Committee and co-leader of Transportation Practice Group with his brother, Horace (J.J.) Johnson.
 Commenting on these appointments, Ed Hochberg, CEO, JLT Re in North America, said,
 “All of these appointments are testament to the hard work and commitment of these individuals who have all played a key role in the continued success of JLT Re in North America as we drive this business forward. It is very important to note that all of these management functions include a substantial level of client interaction as one of our key differentiators at JLT Re is the involvement of our senior management in day to day client management and service.”
  
 George Daddario will oversee delivery of intermediary services to JLT Re’s clients and prospects in North America and will act as Vice Chairman of the JLT Re North America Executive Committee. George joined Towers Perrin Re in 2003, after having worked for Tower Group, Willcox, and Intere, and he serves on the Board of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation.
  
 Tony Marangiello will be responsible for the operations of all JLT Re offices in the United States. In addition, Tony will continue to head up the Specialty Practice Business Development Unit and will expand relations with other JLT Group business in North America. Tony joined Towers Perrin Re in 1994 after having worked at Willis.
  
 Prior to the acquisition of Towers Watson Re, Craig was CEO of JLT Re North America, and he led the successful effort to start up Weston Insurance Company. Craig spent nearly seven years at Willis Re, eventually rising to Managing Director of their North American leadership team. Prior to joining Willis Re, Craig worked at Aon Specialty Re as well as Security Re, Chubb and Interstate Fire and Casualty Companies.
  
 David Johnson joined Towers Watson Re in 2011. Prior to joining Towers Watson Re, David served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Axiom Re, Inc.
