General Insurance Article - Liberty Mutual appoints new head of Manchester office

Liberty Mutual Insurance has appointed Scott Taylor as Manager of its Manchester branch. He took up his new role in early April.

Scott has over 30 years of experience in the general insurance market and joins LMI from a major insurer where he held the role of Regional Development Manager, responsible for setting up their Manchester operation. In his new role, Scott will take responsibility for LMI’s 16-strong Manchester team and business development in the region. He will report to Neil Findley, LMI’s General Manager – Regions.

Welcoming Scott to the company, LMI’s Head of Business Development and Market Relationships, Mark Stephenson, said: “A well-known figure in the north of England insurance market, Scott has already set up one Manchester operation for a major insurer so he certainly knows his way around this part of the world. His strong broker relationships and in-depth expertise will help us deliver the high quality service our brokers have come to expect.”

LMI was launched in 2011 to target the UK mid-market commercial sector. The division offers a wide range of products including property, casualty and financial lines backed up with risk management and risk engineering services.
