General Insurance Article - Mercer expands Real Estate boutique with new hire


 Mercer’s Investment Consulting business has appointed Matthew Abbott as a Senior Researcher in its Real Estate Boutique. Mr Abbott will also be a member of Mercer’s wider manager research team researching existing and new managers, developing intellectual capital and advising clients on real estate investment strategy and manager selection.
 
 Mr Abbott began his career with Hewitt, Bacon & Woodrow in 2003 after completing a BSc in Mathematics & Statistics from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. His main areas of expertise are real estate manager research, strategy and consulting - primarily focused on UK and European markets. Mr Abbott has worked with a range of clients across both the local authority and private sectors.
 
 Paul Richards, European Head of Mercer’s Real Estate Boutique, said: "I am delighted that Matt has joined the team.
