General Insurance Article - RSA wins prestigious engagement awards

Leading global insurer RSA has been awarded the prestigious Best Employee Engagement award and the Overall Winner award at the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) People Management Awards in London.

The CIPD awards recognise organisations which have made outstanding progress in employee engagement over the last year.

Commenting on the award, Vanessa Evans, RSA Group HR Director, said:

"We are immensely proud of this achievement, which is down to the hard work of all our leaders and people globally, who have really put employee engagement at the top of their agenda. External recognition like this is invaluable in helping us retain our competitive edge and highlights RSA's commitment to maintain world-class engagement levels."

The judges, a panel of senior HR professionals, recognised the efforts by RSA to improve its Gallup's engagement scores, which went from 3.80 in 2008 to 4.34 in 2011. This has led to RSA being named the world's most engaged insurer.
